Confirmation Retreats 2007-2008

Dates: *Oct 5-6* November 9-10* February 15-16* April 18-19*

A Confirmation Retreat at Shetek is a unique 'out of the classroom' opportunity for both youth and pastors.  Each retreat offers time for class sessions, recreation, community building, worship, and FUND for everyone!  The program begins with supper on Friday and concludes with the evening meal on Saturday.

Clasroom Time:  Each retreat has three class meeting times.  There will be one on Friday evening and two during the day on Saturday.  The total class time is four hours throughout the weekend.  Each congregation is assigned a private meeting spot and audio/visual equipment is abailable on a first come, first serve basis.

Shetek Staff:  Members of the 2007 Summer Staff are available to lead the rest of the program-campfires, worships, games, recreation times and late night activiities.  (Pastors are responsible for the classroom time).

Lodging:  Students stay in the cabins with the Summer Staff.  Pastors have seperate sleeping quarters.

Meals:  Four delicious meals are provided by the camp retreat cooks for each weekend.

Servant Projects:  Students get a chance to help out the camp with servan projects on Satruday.  Possible projects include painting, splitting wood, and stuffing envelopes.

Cost:  The cost of the retreat is $32 per person. 

What to Bring: Bible, sleeping bag, pillow, classroom materials, tennis shoes, warm clothes.....
