The mission of Shetek is to provide Christ-centered experiences for all varieties of people at any age. We encourage campers and staff alike to grow in their Christian faith. If you enjoy a variety of activities, Shetek may be the place for you this summer. Let us tell you a little bit more about the wide range of programs that Shetek offers.

• On-Site programs include traditional camp for 3rd-4th, 4th-6th, and 7th-8th grade camps.
• Specialty programs include Music Camp, Christian Athlete Camps, Confirmation Camp, and Leadership programs (C.I.T., Carpe Diem and Leadership Trek).
• Adventure Trip programs include canoeing trips down the Crow Wing River or on Lake Superior and backpacking through the Big Horn Mountains.
• Servant trips go to Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Washington D.C.
• We have a specialized program called S.O.S. Camp for the physically and mentally challenged.
• Our ministry is also taken on the road to off-site Day Camps in area congregations.
• Family ministry programs offer families of all types the opportunity to spend quality time together at Family Camp or Grandparent/Grandchild Camp.

All of our programs focus on building relationships with our campers, developing faith, providing a safe environment to foster learning and growth, and helping our community experience their faith in a whole new way. Worship, bible study, campfires, swimming, canoeing, overnight campouts, challenge course, songs and music, games, arts and crafts, servant projects, group cabin living, delicious food, and much excitement and adventure are all part of the Shetek ministry.

The summer of 2005 will begin with a two-week staff training period beginning Sunday, May 23rd. Camp will conclude on Sunday, August 14th. Special arrangements can be made (if it is necessary) for your contract to conclude August 7th due to school or other obligations. All requested time off should be negotiated with Shetek’s Directors.

On the following pages, you will find staffing opportunities available for the summer of 2005 along with descriptions for each position. Salaries range from $190 - $220 a week (depending on experience and position) for twelve weeks. Meals, housing, and worker's compensation insurance's are included in the position package.

As an extension of its congregations, the camp's goal is to extend the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who enter the gates of Shetek Lutheran Bible Camp.
