Learn about the history of maple syruping in MN and across the United States, techniques currently used for gathering sap at camp and other areas, and try your hand at tasting the difference between pure and artificial maple syrup! We may also have time to start a boil-off and make our own as well, per group time limits and availability of collected sap.

Fish 'n' Fun Days

Watch for 2014 dates!

There will be an opportunity for adults fishing with a youth 15 years old or younger to not need a license on one of our dates.

KIDS! Grab your folks and head to Lake Shetek for an afternoon of Fish 'N' Fun. In addition to learning the basics of fishing, the learning center staff will show kids how to make their own Pop Can Caster, a Japanese fish print, and will lead children through fun activities that examine fish management and water stewardship. Best of all we'll launch the pontoon boat in search of the BIG ONE!  Bait and poles are provided, if you don't have your own. You must bring the luck!

Cost is only $6 per person!
